Last year Sony introduced the full-frame system camera Alpha A7S supporting 4K-format, but for recording videos ultra-high-definition required an external device. Today, the announcement of the updated model – Sony Alpha A7S II, which is devoid of this shortcoming.
The camera features a 12.2-megapixel full-frame sensor with ISO sensitivity of 100 -102 400 units, expandable up to the equivalent 50-409600 units. Improved processor BIONZ X will significantly reduce the noise level at high values ISO. Special mention also deserve a 169-point AF system and built-in 5-axis image stabilizer. Sony Alpha A7S II is able to shoot video in 4K (3840×2160 pixels, 8-bit codec XAVC S), it uses the entire area of the sensor. Also available movie recording mode with four- and five-time slowdown.
Over a 3-inch swivel screen camera (1.23 million pixels) electronic viewfinder placed XGA OLED with 100% frame coverage and 0.78-fold increase. To communicate with mobile devices provides NFC-adapter and a wireless module Wi-Fi.
Sales of Sony Alpha A7S II will begin in November 2015, the estimated price “carcasses” – 3400 euros.
