Acute Angle AA-B4: Design
The first thing you notice when looking at Acute Angle AA-B4 is its triangular shape. It is very unusual design for mini PC. Perhaps this is the first mini computer on the market with a similar appearance. Also, the manufacturer used an interesting combination of materials: aluminum and wood.
The dimensions of Acute Angle AA-B4 are slightly larger than usual mini PC – 25.5 x 25.5 x 4 cm and weight – 660 grams.
Mini PC comes in a square black box. The front side of the box has an image of computer, while on the back side is placed specifications list.
The package includes a mini PC, user manual, HDMI cable, charger and bag for storing and transporting the device.
Acute Angle AA-B4 is visually divided into two parts: a wooden trapezium and an aluminum triangle. The wooden trapezoid has a hardware, while aluminum triangle is empty. All connectors and ports are located on aluminum sides of computer.
The front panel is smooth, and we see a small Acute Angle logo on it. Half of the rear panel is occupied by fan holes for cooling the mini PC.
As for the side faces, there is a large physical power button, and a little lower – two USB 3.0 connectors. On the left side is another grill for cooling the computer.
The other connectors are located on one of the sides of aluminum triangle. Here we see 3.5 mm audio jack, power connector, HDMI and RJ45 port. To be honest, this is not the best location, because the edges of the aluminum triangle interfere with connecting cables.
Acute Angle AA-B4: Specifications
As we already wrote, the hardware is located in a wooden case. Acute Angle AA-B4 is powered by Intel Apollo lake Celeron N3450 processor. This is a budget processor with four cores and a clock speed of up to 2.2 GHz. The processor was introduced in 2016. Nevertheless, it is still good for office work and not too high multitasking.
As for the graphics card, the computer has Intel HD Graphics 500. Unfortunately, you will not be able to run the newest games on Acute Angle AA-B4, but you can try playing old shooters or some other simple games.
Mini PC has 8GB of RAM. This is quite enough to perform everyday tasks and run multiple applications at the same time. For data storage, two drives are available – 64GB eMMC and 128GB SSD. If this is not enough for you, then you can use a memory card.
Acute Angle AA-B4 runs on Windows 10 operating system. The mini PC has a built-in battery, but its capacity is only 240mAh. The power consumption of computer is 12V.
Among the wireless connections are Bluetooth 4.0 LE and Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac. Also, the computer has support for 5.1 surround sound.
Acute Angle AA-B4: Price
Acute Angle AA-B4 was introduced back in 2018, and the price of a computer at the start of sales was $600. Yes, it was really expensive, because it was used as a device for mining.
Now the price is much cheaper, and you can buy Acute Angle AA-B4 for only $199. Nice deal, right? If you are looking for a mini PC with an unusual design, then it will be difficult to find something better than Acute Angle AA-B4.
