ASUS Zenfone Max Pro M1 REVIEW: The Great Value Smartphone

In this article we want to talk about latest smartphone from Asus called Zenfone Max Pro M1. It is the next smartphone in Max series. The main feature of these series is long battery life. ASUS Zenfone Max Pro M1: Design

Let’s start with design. The front side of Asus Zenfone Max Pro looks beautiful. Yes, it has thick bezels, especially on top and bottom, but it is OK for budget phone. From other side, it is quite thin, so you can comfortably hold it in one hand.

Above the screen is front camera, sensors and earpiece.

The bottom has a lot of space even though there is no physical buttons. The smartphone uses on-screen keys.

The material of the phone is unibody metal. It feels strong when holding.

The placement of the camera is different from the previous version. Dual camera lens placed vertically at the top left. The fingerprint reader is in the center.

The physical buttons are placed on the right side. There is volume rocker and power button.

The SIM slot is on the left hand side of the smartphone. It is triple-slot for both 2 SIM and Micro-SD memory card.

Zenfone Max Pro comes with 5.99-inch IPS screen with FHD+ resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. I have to say that IPS screen of this phone is very good, compared to most other budget devices. The maximum brightness is 450 nits and contrast ratio up to 1500:1.

As for hardware, it also very good. The smartphone is powered by mid-range processor Snapdragon 636 (the same as Zenfone 5). You can choose a model from 3GB to 6GB of RAM, and 32GB or 64GB of internal memory. One of the main feature of Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 is 5000mAh battery.

Also, I should note the software. New Asus phone runs on stock Android 8.1. It is another reason why you should buy this phone.

We already said that Zenfone Max Pro M1 has 5000mAh battery! Perhaps, the battery is the main thing in modern phones. I am very glad that Asus decided to focus of this feature in its new smartphone.

Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 provides up to 11 hours of playing games, and about 17 hours of watching videos. If you watch The Game Of Throne, then it will be enough for two seasons on a single charge. It sounds impressive, do you agree?

Also, Asus phone can be used as power bank to charge other devices. It means there is support for OTG.

As for speaker, it is equipped with sound system NXP Smart Amplifier to help the sound to be very good.

ASUS didn’t forget about camera. There is dual rear camera with  wide-angle lens. It provides high-quality bokeh mode.
