Energy oceans ignite light in homes

Germany, UK, Australia, America and Canada intend to produce energy using the power of ocean waves and tides. Stations operating on alternative energy sources, will be put into operation in the near future.

According to the journal Nature, in Australia planned to collect the mechanical energy of waves. Installation, which is based on huge floats, ropes and hydraulic pumps, capable of producing 720 kW. This amount of energy is enough to meet the needs of the naval base located on the shores of the Indian Ocean.

In the UK enthusiasts choose to receive energy from the tides. So, in the south-east of Belfast built two 16-foot screws rotate that make millions of cubic meters of water. Tides allow you to collect up to 1.2 MW.

Every year the number of projects whose primary purpose is to find new alternative energy sources increases. Experts estimate that by 2020 the energy of the oceans will use about 40 stations, each of which can provide electricity for 250 homes.
