Kospet Optimus Pro First REVIEW: Why Does This Smartwatch Have Two Processors?

Kospet introduced a new smartwatch called Optimus Pro. The main feature of the smartwatch is two processors. It is very interesting, isn’t it? According to the manufacturer, two processors increase battery life, which, as a rule, is a weak point of all modern smartwatches.

By the way, Kospet company also has a basic model of Kospet Optimus smartwatch, which differs from the Pro version with RAM and internal memory.

Kospet Optimus Pro: Design

Kospet Optimus Pro smartwatch has a universal design. You can use them under the business suit, as well as sports uniform. The case of the watch is made of metal with a ceramic frame. The dial is round and large enough.

The watch strap is available in four versions: metallic, silicone black, leather black and brown. As you understand, only the color of strap changes, while the dial is always matte black.

All straps are 24 mm wide. You can choose which strap is the best for you – classic or sporty. Leather straps consist of two layers: the upper part is made of leather, while the lower part is made of silicone. This combination makes the strap more reliable and durable.

The smartwatch has a large 1.39-inch display. This is an AMOLED panel with resolution of 454×454 pixels. The display is very bright and clear.

By the way, as you noticed, Kospet Optimus Pro has the main watch face with transformer from the movie of the same name – Optimus Prime.

There are two physical control buttons on the right side. The buttons allow you to turn on/off the watch, as well as select different modes and settings. Between the buttons is a camera, but we will talk about it a little later.

On the back is a heart rate monitor, a SIM card slot and four magnetic contacts for charging the watch.

Kospet Optimus Pro uses MediaTek MT6739 processor to run heavy apps. This is a quad-core processor with a maximum frequency of 1.25 GHz. The second processor – NRF52840 – is used to perform simple tasks. The manufacturer says that two processors can significantly increase the performance and even the battery life.

Kospet Optimus Pro received a lot of memory. The smartwatch is equipped with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. We want to remind you that basic model Kospet Optimus has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory.

New smartwatch runs on Android 7.1.1 + Lite OS. The watch supports most Android applications, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, GLONASS and Wi-Fi.

As we already said, Kospet Optimus Pro has a slot for one SIM card with support for 2G, 3G and 4G bands.

Now let’s talk about the functions. Optimus Pro smartwatch is able to make and receive calls, messages, access the Internet, track steps, distance and calories.

Also, smartwatch monitors sleep and heart rate. Kospet Optimus Pro offers 9 sport modes. Built-in GPS allows you to accurately track location and movement while walking or running.

The watch does not have a headphone jack, but you can connect Bluetooth wireless headphones and listen to music while playing sports.

As we wrote earlier, the main watch face of Kospet smart watch has a transformer style. If you are not a fan of transformers, then you can change the watch face to any other of 9 available.

On the right side of the watch is 8-megapixel camera. Now you don’t even need a smartphone to take a photo or record a video!

Kospet Optimus Pro is equipped with 800 mAh battery. The battery life is about 2-3 days with active use. The manufacturer promises up to 7 days of battery life in standby mode.
