Chipset MediaTek Helio X30 was much more productive Snapdragon 820

The company MediaTek has long been one of the leading manufacturers of chipsets for mobile gadgets. But the position of the chip maker in the top segment of the market is still quite weak, and today the company’s products significantly inferior Snapdragon 820 in terms of performance.

However, according to the well-known Chinese analysts Tszyutanu Pan (Pan Jiutang), as early as next year, the company will offer us MediaTek flagship hardware platform Helio X30, which will be able to compete for leadership with top solutions most famous chipmakers.

MediaTek Helio X30 will be released on the basis of a modern 10-nm FinFET process. It will include a graphics accelerator PowerVR 7XT, quad-core Cortex-A35 clocked at up to 2 GHz quad-core Cortex-A53, running at speeds up to 2.2 GHz. And for more complex tasks, the chipset offers two new and has not yet announced Artemis core clocked at 2.8 GHz.

This powerful stuffing allowed MediaTek Helio X30 dial 160 000 points in the AnTuTu benchmark, easily surpassing hardware platform Snapdragon 820, demonstrating a much more modest result in 130 thousand points. The problem is that the output of Helio X30 is scheduled only for the next year. And the new chipset will not withstand a Snapdragon 820 or Samsung Exynos 8990, as successors of the hardware platforms that are sure to be able to boast much higher performance. Therefore, despite such an impressive result, talk about the prospects MediaTek Helio X30 on the high-end market is premature.

We add that the new MediaTek Helio X30 supports up to 8 GB of RAM, a 26 megapixel resolution camera can work with virtual reality devices and is equipped with high-speed LTE Cat.13 modem.
