The first Nokia wireless earbuds look simple and stylish. The design of Nokia Power Earbuds is not like any other manufacturer’s earbuds. It’s great that Nokia hasn’t just copied someone else’s design, it has created something of its own.

Earbuds are quite compact. The size of each earpiece is 25 x 23 x 23.8 mm.

They are made of ABS plastic and come in only two colors: matte black and light gray. Surprisingly, there is no white version.

On the top of the earbuds there is a small Nokia logo. As you can see, the earbuds have the touch button, not the physical, to turn on/off, control music and call the voice assistant.

On the side panel there is a small LED indicator that notifies the user of connection to smartphone.

Three pairs of interchangeable ear cushions are supplied in package.

Now let’s take a look at charging case. It’s a little bigger than the other wireless earbuds – 9 x 48.5 x 31 mm. This is because of 3000mAh battery inside. Can you imagine? Many smartphones have a smaller battery.

The charging case has a rectangular shape with rounded edges. It fits easily into your backpack or jacket pocket. On the front panel we see Nokia logo and four LEDs. They show the battery level of charging case.

As we already said, the main feature of Nokia earbuds is the battery life. Each earbud has 50mAh battery. One charge lasts for 5 hours of listening to music.

The charging case is equipped with a battery capacity of 3000 mAh. This is enough to charge the earbuds about 30 times. In other words, one full charge of charging case is enough to use the earbuds for 150 hours. It’s perfect wireless earbuds if you often have to spend a lot of time on the road.

Nokia Power Earbuds are IPX7 protected from water and dust. This means that the earbuds can be used even when it’s raining. They are not afraid of dust, water or sweat. This standard of protection allows you to immerse the earbuds into the water to a depth of 1 meter for 30 minutes, but we would not recommend swimming with them.

Redmi AirDots wireless earbuds are the most popular on the market. Xiaomi recently announced that more than 3 million Redmi AirDots wireless earbuds have been sold since the start of sales.

Let’s do a small comparison of the new Nokia Power Earbuds and the popular Redmi AirDots.

As you have already realized, the main feature of Nokia Power Earbuds is the battery. The capacity of the charging case is 3000 mAh, and each earpiece has 50 mAh battery. The battery life of a fully charged earbuds and charging case is 150 hours.

Redmi AirDots has 10 times less capacity of the charging case – 300 mAh. Also, Xiaomi earbuds have a battery capacity of 40 mAh. When fully charged, Xiaomi wireless earbuds last up to 12 hours.

As you can see, Nokia Power Earbuds last on one charge more than 10 times longer than Redmi AirDots.

Of course, the high battery capacity has affected the size of Nokia’s earbuds and charging case. The size of Nokia Power Earbuds case is 79 x 48.5 x 31 mm, while the size of Redmi AirDots case is 62 x 40 x 27.2 mm.

Nokia’s earbuds are also larger than Redmi ones – 25 x 23 x 23.8 mm against 26.65 × 16.4 × 21.6 mm.

In addition, Nokia Power Earbuds have a higher standard of protection against dust and water – IPX7. Redmi earbuds are protected from water according to IPX4 standard.

Of course, you have to pay for all the benefits of Nokia earbuds. If Redmi AirDots can be bought for only $20, then you will have to pay $90 for Nokia Power Earbuds.

Nokia Power Earbuds will go on sale in October 2019.

In fact, the size of Nokia Power Earbuds isn’t much larger than Redmi AirDots, but Nokia’s eabuds offer record battery life. However, Xiaomi earbuds are more than three times cheaper, which is very tempting. The choice is yours!
