QCY M10 First REVIEW: Really Interesting TWS Earbuds!

Xiaomi has released several new wireless earbuds under QCY brand over the past month. Today, a Chinese manufacturer introduced another earbuds called Xiaomi QCY M10.

Strangely enough, the new QCY earbuds interested me not in sound quality or even battery life, but in software. QCY M10 earbuds have a special application on smartphone, which has some interesting features. We will talk about them in this article.

Design

Did you notice that the new QCY earbuds are similar to each other? For example, can you find the differences between QCY M10 and QCY T4S? Yes, they are the same! Even the charging cases are identical.

I like that the charging case is very compact, but it has a good battery capacity – 380 mAh. We’ll talk about the battery and the battery life a bit later.

The earbuds themselves are very small, too. They have a physical control button as well as QCY logo on the outside.

By the way, the charging case has a microUSB charging port. Actually, it is not very good, but it is forgivable for budget eabuds under $20.

I couldn’t find any information about the waterproof rating. It looks like the QCY M10 is not waterproof, so you shouldn’t use it in the rain. I’m not even talking about swimming in the pool or showering. It’s strictly forbidden.

Features

As for performance, QCY M10 earbuds have a 6mm dynamic driver. They also support AAC audio codec.

The earbuds pair with smartphone or other devices via Bluetooth 5.0. According to the manufacturer, the latency in games or while watching movies is minimal.

It should also be noted that QCY M10 earbuds use master-slave switch. In short, you can use both earbuds, or only one of them. Right or left earbud – it doesn’t matter.

It’s really handy, and allows you to significantly extend the battery life – while one earphone is charging, you use the other, and then vice versa.

Another feature of QCY M10 is that it automatically pairs with smartphone. When you first connect the earbuds to your smartphone, a pop-up window appears at the bottom of the screen to connect the earbuds. Now you do not need to go to Bluetooth settings and look for device there.

Note that pop-up window only appears on Android devices. You can also use QCY M10 earbuds with any iPhone smartphone, but you will need to go to the Bluetooth settings menu and manually select QCY earbuds.

Control

The QCY M10 earbuds offer various control functions, such as play/pause music, switch tracks, answer or reject calls, and call a voice assistant on smartphone.

Unfortunately, the new QCY earbud does not have volume control.

App

As I said at the beginning of this article, QCY earbuds have a special smartphone application called the QCY Smart App.

In the app, you can use the EQ to customize the sound to your liking, such as increasing or decreasing bass, mid or treble, etc.

You can also change control options with the buttons on your earbuds. I mentioned above about controls, but you can change them to suit you, for example, to switch the track with one press instead of two.

And the last, but also very important feature in the application is the earbuds search. QCY M10 are very small earbuds, and you can easily lose them. Using the app on smartphone, you can see where the earbuds are on the map.

Battery Life

Of course, we should talk about the battery. I didn’t find any information about the battery capacity of one earbud, but the charging case has 380mAh battery.

The manufacturer claims that one battery charge is enough for 4 hours of listening to music or 3.5 hours of talking.

Using the charging case, you can charge QCY M10 earbuds 4 more times. So you can watch 10 movies, listen to 300 songs or play games for 20 hours.

QCY M10 earbuds are already sold on GearBest and Aliexpress. The price is lower on GearBest – only $19.99.

Should You Buy QCY M10?

I can’t say anything about QCY M10 sound quality because I haven’t tested them yet. However, judging by the specifications, the sound has to be good.

I also like the application that you can use to reassign the control buttons on the earbuds.

Battery life is standard for budget earbuds in 2020.

The only thing I don’t like about QCY M10 is MicroUSB charging port and the lack of volume control with the control buttons. But I think it’s forgivable for budget earbuds that cost only $19.
