Realme 3i First REVIEW: Is This The Best Budget Gaming Smartphone?

July 15, Realme introduced its new budget smartphone called Realme 3i. The young phone manufacturer continues to expand the market of budget phones. Recently Realme introduced Realme C2 and Realme 3, and now there is a new modification. Good job, Realme!

Realme 3i is a budget smartphone with good processor, HD display, dual camera and large battery. However, the most important thing is the price. It will pleasantly surprise you.

Realme 3i: Main Features

The main feature of Realme 3i is not design or functions. This is an interesting combination of technical specifications. The new Realme 3i is a hybrid of mid-range and budget smartphone.

From budget phone Realme 3i has got a low resolution IPS display, average camera and the lack of fast or wireless charging and NFC.

From other side, Realme 3i received mid-range processor MediaTek Helio P60 and really large battery.

Realme 3i: Performance

Realme 3i processor is its greatest advantage. Despite the fact that it was made by MediaTek, it is built on 12-nm process technology and has high-quality graphics core.

The chipset is composed of eight productive cores, divided into two classes. Also, MediaTek Helio P60 has a dedicated unit for machine learning.

So we can say that Realme 3i is a budget smartphone for gaming. MediaTek Helio P60 in combination with a small resolution screen is capable of producing quite good FPS in games. Even the most demanding games will be launched on Realme 3i, you can play them without delays.

Realme 3i scores about 130.000 points in AnTuTu. Also, the phone has 3GB or 4GB of RAM.

Other features include the support of all wireless communications, 3.5 mm audio jack and fingerprint reader. However, the new Realme smartphone has only microUSB port.

Realme 3i runs on Android 9.0 Pie operating system with ColorOS 6.0 user interface.

Realme 3i: Battery

We already said that battery is another advantage of new Realme phone. It is equipped with 4230mAh battery. This should be enough for about 3-4 hours of continues playing games.

The battery tests have shown that Realme 3i lasts about 5-6 hours under serious loads.

Realme 3i: Design

The design of the smartphone is simple, but quite recognizable. It can hardly be called unique, since manufacturers of other mobile phones have already used the similar pattern on the back panel. For example, some smartphones from Oukitel with have similar rear panel.

The main body material of Realme 3i is plastic. Plastic is hard and reliably. It doesn’t have squeaks. Realme 3i has excellent ergonomics, so the comfortable use is guaranteed.

The bezel-less display creates the impressions of expensive smartphone. The waterdrop notch above the display hides the front camera.

Realme 3i: Display

The display of Realme 3i is IPS LCD panel with a diagonal of 6.1-inches and a resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels. It is unlikely to surprise you with bright colors and gorgeous pixels, but for everyday use it is more than enough.

This is a budget phone, but there is a nice bonus – protective glass Gorilla Glass 3.

Realme 3i: Camera

If we talk about cameras, the phone has 13 MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture on the front panel. This is a really good camera with Beauty mode. It can also make pictures with blurred background. Also, there are funny masks on your faces.

The main camera is not very impressive: 13MP main sensor with f/1.8  aperture and + 2MP secondary sensor with f/2.4 aperture.

As you understand, the main sensor with an aperture of F/1.8 takes images, while the second sensor is used only for bokeh effect in portrait mode.

If everything is set up correctly, then you can take very decent photos from new Realme phone.

Realme 3i: Release Date and Price

Realme 3i is a good smartphone with clear tasks. It looks good, and it is equipped with everything necessary. But the most importantly – it is affordable.

So far, a smartphone have been launched only in India, but soon Realme 3i will enter the European market. The price is about $120.
