Review Huawei Honor 6A: comparison with Xiaomi Redmi 4X, release date, price

Some days ago Huawei introduced its new smartphone Huawei Honor 6A. In addition to the new smartphone, Chinese manufacturer released others devices, such as tablet, laptop, fitness tracker. But today we review only smartphone Huawei Honor 6A.

Design

The body of new smartphone is made of two materials: metal and plastic. Also, user can choose four color options: blue, pink, gold and silver. On the back of Huawei Honor 6A there is a fingerprint scanner.

Performance

Huawei Honor 6A works on 8-core processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 MSM8937 and graphic processor Adreno 505. The tandem of these two components allows to get 38000 scores in Antutu benchmark testing.

Another interesting features of Huawei Honor 6A is its 5 inch display. It is quite unusual, because many manufacturers are producing 5.5-inch devices. Also, new smatphone is available in two memory versions: 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage, or 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of ROM. If this is not enough for you, then cell phone has a slot for Micro SD cards up to 128 GB.

A non-removable battery has a capacity of 3020 mAh.

The main camera is equipped with an IMX278 sensor at 13MP and f/2.2. The front camera received 5MP sensor with aperture f/2.2.

First, let’s see if there have been changes in design between Huawei Honor 6A and its predecessor. The new model has a fingerprint scanner, which is located below the main camera. Also, the body materials are different: Huawei Honor 5A is made of polycarbonate, while Hnew smartphone is made of metal.

If you look at hardware of these two devices, you notice the difference in processors. Huawei Honor 6A is equipped with a more powerful chipset, which increases the performance of the device, in comparison with its predecessor. Another advantage of the new model is operating system Android 7.0.

We decided to compare budget Huawei smartphone with Xiaomi Redmi 4X, because they have common specifications and price. The first difference can be found in screen sizes ratio – Xiaomi Redmi 4X is about 3% larger.

Also, it worth mentioning the processors. Huawei phone uses older version of Snapdragon 430. The manufacturer Xiaomi Redmi 4X took a small step forward, using Snapdragon 435 processor.

Huawei Honor 6A has a battery capacity less than that of its competitor. The point in favor of new Huawei smartphone is newer operating system EMUI 5.1 on Android 7.0.

At the official presentation of the budget smartphone Huawei Honor 6A, the company’s representatives announced the start date of sales – June 1. The smartphone will appear at official stores in China.

Also, we know the price new Huawei smartphone that varies depending on memory: model with 2GB / 16GB will cost $116, and version with 3GB / 32GB – $145.
