SJCAM A10: Design

So, let’s start with design of SJCAM A10. We cannot say that it has unique design or appearance. This is compact body camera of black color. All buttons and connectors under the plugs are on the sides, while the power button is located on the front panel under the lens. At the bottom you can battery compartment. On the back there is 2-inch display. The dimensions are 83x58x40 mm, weight – 83 grams.

The main feature of SJCAM A10 is protection according to IP65 standard. The manufacturer says that body camera is protected from rain, moisture, dust and even mechanical damage. The device has SONY IMX 323 sensor with aperture F/2.5 and a wide-angle lens 140 degrees. This allows you to not only take action-shooting, but also to record traffic on 3 lanes. In addition, the camera has night vision option, so you can use it not only in daylight conditions. The infrared LEDs with manual and automatic control modes are provided for night shooting. Unfortunately, there is no stabilization.

SJCAM A10 provides video recording in following resolutions:

The video is recorded in AVI format, and the video compression format is H.264. The photos are taken in JPG format and resolution of 12, 10, 8, 5, 3, 2 (HD), 1.3 MP, and VGA.

In addition to the modern processor and high-quality sensor from Sony, SJCAM A10 action camera has quite good additional functionality. First of all, the device is equipped with a remote control and a laser coordinate system. The latter allows to set and focus the camera to determine the location. As for operating systems, SJCAM A10 supports Windows XP2 and higher, MAC OS x 10.4.11 and higher, as well as smartphones running Android from 4.1, iOS from 8.0 and tablets with the Wi-Fi module.

SJCAM A10 is equipped with dual stereo microphone with noise reduction. It is used for:

Optional for receiving background noise (built-in from the side).

When the sound enter microphone, the signals are converted, and then software reduces noise, so the sound becomes more clear.
