SJCAM SJ8 Pro Review

SJCAM SJ8 Pro: Hardware

The camera has good processor, lenses and sensor. I think you already undestood this from the comparison table
above. However, the main features of new camera are hidden in the details.

SJ8 Pro belongs to the new generation of action cameras. It has built-in USB Type-C port with high-speed data transfer up to 40 Mb/s. Many other budget cameras still use Micro USB.

SJCAM SJ8 Pro: Battery

The battery is very important thing for any action camera. The single charge of the complete battery (1200 mAh) is enough for about 90 minutes of continuous recording of video 4K/60 FPS.

If you compare with previous generations of SJCAM cameras, the battery life increased in 30%. I think it is a merit of 14-nm processor.

The same battery is in SJ8 Plus, and it provides 100 minutes of recording video 4K/30 FPS. The youngest model has battery life of about 130 minutes.

SJCAM SJ8 Pro: Features

SJ8 Pro camera has not only a classic interface with flat tiles and monochrome icons, but also a redrawn, color UI. The user interface can be selected from the settings.

Also I want to note about application on smartphone. The camera is connector to smartphone via SJCAM Zone app. It is available both on iOS and Android. It allows to you watch footage and edit even it.

If you plan to record high-quality videos, then it is better to buy SJ-Gimbal. Yes, the action cameras have digital stabilization even at 4K/30 FPS resolution, but it’s a special gimbal makes more smooth image.
