Sony has already announced its own press conference at MWC 2020 at the end of February. Among other things, Sony plans to present new smartphones, including the flagship Sony Xperia 5 Plus.
According to Japanese insiders, the successor of last year’s Xperia 5 will receive more changes than previously expected.
5 Cameras in Sony Xperia 5 Plus

According to new data, the upcoming Sony Xperia 5 Plus, which in some sources is called Xperia 1.1, will receive not quad main camera on the back, as previously reported, but five cameras:
- 12MP sensor size 1/1.5″
- 64 MP sensor size 1/1.7″
- 12MP sensor size 1/3.4″ and ultra-wide-angle lens
- 2MP time-of-flight sensor
- Unidentified Extension Sensor with Periscope and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS)
The last sensor will allow shooting photos with 3x and even more optical zoom. At the moment, the smartphones have a record of using a 5x optical zoom lens.
Other Features of Sony Xperia 5 Plus

The new flagship from Sony 2020 is expected to receive a flagship Snapdragon 865 processor with 5G support, 6.6-inch bezel-less OLED display and front stereo speakers.

According to rumors, Sony will also launch a smartphone with six cameras this year. However, it will be released later in 2020.
