The purified air, passed through the filters, is directed upwards by two powerful fans in the upper part of the air cleaner. They create two spiral airflows, which ensures the necessary efficiency of air exchange.

Xiaomi Air Purifier 2s: OLED Display

The main feature of Xiaomi Air Purifier 2s from other Xiaomi Air Purifiers is OLED display. It shows PM 2.5 index in real time, the temperature, humidity, and operating mode.

If you want, the display can be turned off with the button on the rear panel. But, to be honest, I do not see much sense in this. The image on OLED screen looks like a simple inscription. It does not light much and does not irritate the eyes in the dark. In addition, the brightness of the screen is adjusted automatically depending on the ambient light. There is an ambient light sensor located next to the power button.

Xiaomi Air Purifier 2s has three modes. The auto mode provides automatic regulation of fan rotation speed, depending on the air pollution. If the pollution is low – under PM 2.5 index, the fans run at low speed, and purifier works very silent. If the index of pollution above PM2.5, the fan speed increases for faster airflow through the filter.

The second mode is night. In this mode, the fan is almost noiseless, depending on air pollution.

Finally, the third mode is user mode. The user chooses the speed of fan rotation.

How does Xiaomi Air Purifier 2s count the PM 2.5 index? It uses a laser sensor, which counts the number of particles in the cleaned air stream. The particle sensor has a removable structure, which is very important in terms of care of the air purifier.

Xiaomi Air Purifier 2s: Control

Xiaomi Air Purifier 2s can be controlled either via buttons on the body or via Mi Home app.

Mi Home allows you to turn the air purifier on and off, select the mode, monitor PM 2.5 index, temperature, humidity, etc. Also, when you are away from home, you can create convenient schedules and scenarios, so other family members will always have clean air.

How to add Xiaomi Air Purifier 2s?

It is very simple. After installation and authorization in Mi Home application, you need to connect to the Wi-Fi of air purifier.

Then launch Mi Home and find a new device.

I was asked to choose the room where the air purifier was installed, after which I was able to fully control it from the app or from a convenient widget on the main screen.
