In late May 2019, Xiaomi introduced a new IP camera called Xiaomi Mijia XiaoVV-1120S-A1. The gadget has several differences compared to previous IP cameras under Mijia brand.

Xiaomi Mijia XiaoVV-1120S-A1: Design

Unlike most other Mijia IP cameras, the new XiaoVV-1120S-A1 does not stand on the leg. The camera body is a small white square with a camera lens in the center.

The body is made of matte ABS plastic. Weight is only 350 grams. The camera is compact and fits easily into the palm of your hand.

Black lens takes most of the front panel. There is microphone and an LED indicator under the camera lens. By the way, LED indication notifies about connection with smartphone.

On the top is only speaker grille.

On the back are two plugs for connecting the camera to the socket. Perhaps this is one of the main differences of new Xiaomi camera from previous models of IP cameras, which are powered by built-in battery or USB cable.

In general, Mijia XiaoVV-1120S-A1 looks quite simple and stylish, like all Xiaomi devices. Thanks to its compact size and pleasant color, the camera will be an invisible part of the interior. We think this is really important for IP camera.

Xiaomi Mijia XiaoVV-1120S-A1: Functions

The new XiaoVV-1120S-A1 IP camera has 1080P HD video recording. The manufacturer promises a clear and high-quality image.

If you place the camera on the wall, the camera will shoot video at 180 degrees.

If you place the camera on the ceiling, then Xiaomi Mijia XiaoVV-1120S-A1 shoots at 360 degrees. There is no blind zone in the room. You will not miss a single important moment, and you will be able to observe what is happening in real time.

Thanks to AI ​​system, the camera recognizes a person, an animal or just a movement with an accuracy of 98%, after which it notifies the owner on smartphone.

The new gadget supports night vision function. Even at night and in a room without light, the camera will shoot in high quality. However, the maximum distance of the object from the camera should not exceed 9 meters.

To connect Xiaomi Mijia XiaoVV-1120S-A1 to a smartphone, the user needs to perform several steps.

First, plug in IP camera into the socket, then download  Mijia app to smartphone, go to the application and follow the instructions on the screen.

As the manufacturer says, the connection will take no more than a couple of minutes. The camera uses Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n 2.4GHz for synchronization with smartphone.

The app offers 5 viewing modes: standard, 360, cylinder, two-screen and four-screen. The user can choose the most convenient viewing angle, and monitor the necessary place or all territory at once.

By the way, the new camera is connected not only to the smartphone, but also to the tablet, laptop or even computer. If you connect the camera to a mobile device, the operating system should be no older than Android 4.1 or iOS 8.0.

Xiaomi MiJia XiaoVV-1120S-A1 supports microSD memory card up to 32 GB.

As we wrote earlier, the camera has a built-in microphone and speaker. They are used for two-way communication. Using the camera, you can chat and listen to what is happening in the room where the camera is placed.
