Zeblaze has released a new smartwatch called THOR 4 Dual. The Chinese manufacturer already has three models in this series: Zeblaze THOR 4, THOR 4 Plus and THOR 4 Pro. As you understand from the name of new smartwatch, Zeblaze THOR 4 Dual has two cameras.
So, we prepared first review of new smartwatch, talk about its features and find out main differences compared to its predecessors.
Zeblaze THOR 4 Dual: Design
Zeblaze Thor 4 Dual smartwatch has received some updates in design. Yes, it still has the same round display with an aluminum dial, stainless steel case and durable silicone strap. However, the texture and pattern of the strap is different from previous versions.
On the left side there are two control buttons (Power and Back), and between them is 5MP camera. On the right side is a microphone.
The front panel has 1.4-inch AMOLED display. Here is another 5-megapixel camera. As you understand, it is designed for selfies or video calls.
On the back panel, as usual, are located heart rate sensor, 4 magnetic contacts for charging, slot for SIM card and speaker. If you want to insert SIM card, you need to use screwdriver, which comes in the package.
The cover for SIM slot is plastic, just like the watch case. However, Zeblaze Thor 4 Dual is not waterproof. You should avoid the water.
THOR 4 Dual, like all previous models, is quite large, but it looks very stylish on the wrist.
Zeblaze THOR 4 Dual: Display
The smartwatch has 1.4-inch AMOLED display with resolution of 400 x 400 pixels. There is multi-touch support. By the way, THOR 4 PRO has a larger screen – 1.6-inches, but in my opinion, it is too big. The screen is covered by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. It is shockproof and dustproof. Unfortunately, the smartwatch is not waterproof.
The display is clear and sharp, while the viewing angles are good. You can adjust the screen brightness depending on the lighting.
Zeblaze THOR 4 Dual: Performance
The smartwatch is powered by quad core processor MTK 6739 with a maximum clock frequency of 1.25 GHz. There is 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. The memory does not expand, as there is only a slot for Nano SIM card. Thor 4 Dual runs on Android 7.0 operating system, which is the latest Android version for smartwatches.
The main feature of Zeblaze THOR 4 Dual is dual camera. One camera is located above the display. It is used for video calls and selfies. The second camera is located between the control buttons on the right side. It is not the best location, and in practice only few people use this camera.
As for the battery life, Zeblaze Thor 4 Dual is not much different from its predecessors. The smartwatch has 580mAh battery, which provides two days of battery life in standby time, or one day active use.
The smartwatch supports 2G/3G/4G networks and GPS/GLONASS. Also, there is a companion app on smartphone. You can download it by QR code in user manual. The watch is connected with Android and iOS devices via Bluetooth version 4.0.
Zeblaze THOR 4 Dual: Functions
Thanks to the SIM slot, you can use the smartwatch independently of the smartphone. You can receive and make calls, send messages, go online, watch videos on YouTube or download any other apps.
There are also health and sports functions: heart rate sensor, pedometer, sleep monitor, several sport modes, etc. You can receive notifications from apps and social media, find your location, speed and distance using GPS, use Google maps, voice search, listen to music and download additional dials for the main screen.
In general, the smartwatch has the same functions as budget smartphone, only with a smaller screen.
Zeblaze THOR 4 Dual: Price
So, we reviewed Zeblaze THOR 4 Dual, and now we know its advantages and disadvantages. The smartwatch has a large AMOLED screen, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, an energy efficient processor and many different functions.
