GateKeeper – personal “guard” for the PC

A small group of enthusiastic inventors created some of the first prototypes of a device called GateKeeper. The name of this device is translated as “gatekeeper” and its purpose is completely matching name, especially if you already know what kind of area in question.

The problem of protection of personal data on the PC was always relevant. Standard fittings Windows operating system can protect your information, but these tools are not very comfortable and not as perfect as we would like. There are many applications for the protection of personal information and many of them provide the highest level of security. Nevertheless, all of them have the main drawback – the inconvenience to use, especially if you need to leave your computer for 10 minutes over a cup of coffee.

But what if all this will happen automatically, without entering passwords with their own hands. Pressing the magic button and much more. That’s what is needed GateKeeper. The device looks like an ordinary GateKeeper keychain, but after his display to one of the computers, it is necessary to retire just a meter away as GateKeeper immediately will give a signal to automatically lock the PC. Similarly, when approaching back, GateKeeper unlocks the computer.

GateKeeper works based technology Bluetooth 4.0, and data encryption uses ASE. Configured the device using a special application that has the installation file to the internal memory GateKeeper. With this application, you can adjust the degree of removal from the PC to lock, lock type, and passwords used to it.
