Alfawise A1 REVIEW: $25 Wireless Earbuds + Charging Box

Formally, wireless headphones or earbuds are available on sale for a long time, but they really began to lose their wires only recently. Today we are going to talk about one of this devices called Alfawise A1. Just like Apple Earpods, it is completly wireless earbuds without any wires and even charging box or power bank for them in the package.

Alfawise A1: Package

The earbuds come in a compact and high-quality package. It includes earbuds, charging box, user manual and a short USB cable. There are no replaceable earbud tips of different sizes, so it is better to test Alfawise A1 before buying, because it maybe uncomfortable for your ears.

Alfawise A1: Design

Alfawise A1 can be called a true wireless earbuds, since the right and left earphones are connected to each other only via Bluetooth. About the earbuds themselves, we’ll tell you a little bit later. Now let’s talk about charging box.

This is a small box with a weight about 50 grams, made of plastic, which contains a battery for recharging earbuds. The box itself looks simple, but when the earbuds are inside, a pair of bright red LEDs are signaling about charging.

If you want to charge Alfawise A1, you just need to put the earbuds inside and press them in the cover, then the charging will start. The box is opened easily and effectively – by pressing the button. Under the cover there is also a button and 4 LEDs that let you know the battery level of charging box.

The engineers of the Chinese company Alfawise tried to make the earbuds as compact as possible, and, in general, they did it. It has simple appearance with a gray circle button A. There is nothing more to say about earbuds, they are quite simple in appearance and not very noticeable, being inserted in the ears.

Alfawise A1: Ergonomics

Despite the fact that the earbuds come with one-size earbud tips, they are very comfortable. Before using, I was afraid that they would fall out of my ears. However, the earbuds are securely in the ears, even when I am running or jumping.

The earbuds are very light (weight of only 5 grams) and they are felt in the ears only after an hour of use. But even so, they do not bring discomfort. On the other hand, more than one and a half or two hours at a time you still can not listen to them, as the battery of each of the earbuds can provide no more than two hours of listening.

Alfawise A1: Functions

At first use, it is better to charge Alfawise A1 earbuds and charging box, so you can do it at the same time. The box has a USB port for charging. Full battery charge takes about an hour.

To turn on the gadget, just press the power button on each of them for 2 seconds, after which the earbuds are connected to each other. The process of connecting to the smartphone is fast, the connection uses Bluetooth 4.1.

On the case of each of earbud there is one button, which performs the function of turning on or controlling playback. The volume control is not provided. It’s a pity, because you have to get your smartphone to make earbuds louder or quieter.

To turn off the earbuds, just put them in the charging box.

As soon as the earbuds are discharged, it is enough to place them in the charging box. In an hour they will be fully charged. As for the battery life, Alfawise A1 should be enough for 3-4 hours of listening to music. It is very good, as for such a compact device.

Alfawise A1: Sound

When I first listened to music through Alfawise A1, I noticed that reproduction of high sounds is not very clear, in particular, cymbals and applause in concert records. At the same time, the vocals and low ones sounded very good. After some manipulations with equalizer on smartphone, it was possible to almost completely get rid of distortions and the earbuds began to sound much better.

Nevertheless, the sound is not perfect, but as for wireless earbuds and considering the price of Alfawise A1, it’s not bad. I am very pleased with hip-hop, electronic and pop music. I think it will be great for listening to podcasts, audiobooks, electronic music for training or in transport.

Alfawise A1 is really fully wireless earbuds. It is the main feature of this gadget. The sound is not perfect, because Apple Earpods have much better sound. However, in its price segment, Alfawise A1 looks very decent. As for the price, Alfawise A1 costs only $26. I think it is really good gadget for those who are looking for true wireless earphones.
