Alfawise T9 Full REVIEW: You Don’t Need Smart Scale Anymore!

The wearable market is filled with various fitness bracelets and smartwatches. If world-famous brands, such as Apple and Samsung, still produce one or two wearable devices per year, then Chinese manufacturers introduce new gadgets almost every month.

The latest wearable devices are Xiaomi Mi Band 4 and Amazfit GTR. Yes, the new smart bracelet and the new smartwatch from Xiaomi received some interesting updates, but the Chinese manufacturer didn’t provide any major changes or new technologies.

Today we’ll talk about another new fitness bracelet, which, unlike Xiaomi smart bracelet, has a very useful function – BIA tech to monitor and collect 7 health index: body fat, protein, muscle mass, BMI, basal metabolism, water and bone salt content. Can you imagine that? $30 fitness bracelet can monitor all these indexes.

Alfawise T9: Unboxing

As I already said, Alfawise T9 is sold only on GearBest, so the link to the online store is located on the box. Also on the front side of the box is Alfawise logo and Fitness Tracker inscription.

On the back you will find a sticker with the name of fitness bracelet and basic specifications, such as processor, display, battery, etc.

Inside the box there is Alfawise T9 fitness bracelet, charging cable and user manual in English and Chinese. This is standard package contents for any fitness bracelet.

Now let’s move on to design of Alfawise T9.

Alfawise T9: Design

As you understand, this is not an ordinary fitness bracelet, so it does not look like other smart bracelets. The main difference is the two metal panels at the top and bottom of the screen. We will talk about them a little later. Now I’ll just say that they are used to monitor fat, protein and other parameters.

Talking about display, it has a diagonal of 0.96-inches and resolution of 160 x 80 pixels. This is a color TFT display that is clearly visible even on the street.

Alfawise T9 strap is made of TPU or just plastic, and it is not removable.

On the back of the bracelet is a heart rate sensor, two-pin charging connection and two more metal panels.

Alfawise T9 weighs only 30 grams, and it does not feel at all on the wrist. Even the same Mi Band 4 weighs more than the hero of our review.

Alfawise T9: How it works?

To be honest, I’m not a professional in sports equipment, but after looking at user manual, I found out that Alfawise T9 fitness bracelet works on the same principle as smart scales. The bracelet measures 7 indexes that I mentioned before: fat, protein, muscle mass, etc.

When you get on smart scale, it sends a weak electric current through your body. The substances in our body have different resistance to current. Thus, smart scale receives information about current resistance, and count the fat, water, protein and other parameters.

Most likely, Alfawise T9 also sends an electric current through the user’s body, after which it analyzes resistance and displays data on substances in the body.

I want to draw your attention to the fact that manufacturer does not recommend using Alfawise T9 for people with heart problems or implanted medical equipment.

Before starting the test, you need to install the app on smartphone and enter information about yourself, such as weight, height and age.

The fitness bracelet really shows information about the fat, protein, muscle mass, BMI, basal metabolism, water and bones salt content. However, I do not have smart scale or any other way to check the data received from Alfawise T9 bracelet. The numbers look convincing, but they are real or not – I can not say.

Alfawise T9: Functions

If we talk about the other functions of Alfawise T9, then they are standard for a modern fitness bracelet. Alfawise smart bracelet has a tracking steps, distance traveled and sleep.

Among the sports modes available running, walking, cycling, swimming, jumping rope, badminton, tennis. By the way, Alfawise T9 bracelet is protected against water according to IP67 standard, so you can use it in a pool or shower.

Alfawise T9 is also able to monitor heart rate and pressure.

Of course, the fitness bracelet receives new notifications from the smartphone. You can see who is calling you on mobile device, and even reject the call.

Another interesting feature is weather forecast, which is displayed on the main screen of fitness bracelet.

By the way, there are three dials to choose from for the main screen. To change the dial, you must hold down the button on the main screen and choose one of the dials.

Alfawise T9: Application

The smartphone application is called Glory Fit. It is available in English.

When you open the app for the first time, you will be prompted to create an account, and then enter information about yourself, such as age, weight, height, etc.

After connecting Alfawise T9 fitness bracelet to Glory Fit app, you will see the information with the number of steps, distance and calories. You can also read about sleep, heart rate and pressure.

The body rating menu is as follows. It is strange that the app identified me with 76 kg of weight as fat. The application also says that I have high rates in fat, bone salt and weight. A low indicator is in body humidity. The other indicators are standard.

You can also see the measurement history, as well as the statistics of changes every day.

The next tab is called Sports. Here you can select a sport mode and start it. Fitness bracelet measures heart rate, steps, distance and others.

In Equipment tab, there are functions for control a fitness bracelet, such as a call reminder, a message reminder, an APP reminder, an alarm clock, a reminder to sit for a long time and other reminders.

You can also use Find the bracelet function, take a picture with the button, turn on the screen when you raise your hand and general settings.

Interestingly, Alfawise T9 fitness bracelet supports different languages, including Russian, English, Spanish, Portuguese, etc.

Finally, the last tab Me allows to set up the psychological cycle, the training plan and sport goal.

Conclusion

Alfawise T9 is a very interesting fitness bracelet with many useful functions. Unlike most other smart bracelets that can only count steps, distance, heart rate, Alfawise T9 also counts fat, protein, muscle mass and other indexes.

If the fitness bracelet shows the real information about fat, protein, muscle mass, etc, then $30 is a very low price for this gadget.
