Bitcoin want to make the official currency in Australia

Australian Parliament plans to consider the results of research of the situation with a digital currency that could be the first step towards recognition cryptocurrency Bitcoin as an official means of payment in the country, according to Mashable.
Australian Senate Committee on Economic Affairs has recommended to consider digital money as well as the rest of the currency for the purposes of taxation GTS, which is similar to the Russian VAT (value added tax).

However, this recommendation is contrary to the decision of the Tax Service of Australia that Bitcoin – a commodity that is subject GTS, as well as all other goods and services in the country.
In the opinion of the committee, thereby increasing the tax burden on Australian business that is associated with cryptocurrency that as a result would force businesses abroad.
