In Britain the demand for erotica grew by 500%

Demand for erotic literature in British libraries jumped by 500% over the last year.

Observers have already named this phenomenon is the effect of 50 shades of gray.

The trilogy of erotic novels writer EL James Fifty Shades of Grey last year ranked third in the list of the most widely read books, reports BBC News.

One explanation for this sudden increase in demand for erotica in libraries – introduction to automated libraries lending books that allows readers overcome embarrassment.
