The couple from Wales who planned a week’s vacation, returned home from a trip around the world in 16 years

Married couple from Wales – 62-year-old Clive and 60-year-old Jane Green – returned home after the holiday, which began 16 years ago. Originally planned to organize a week-long love touring Ireland and Spain, at the same time experiencing a 35-pound sailboat, but in the end, they traveled around the world and toured more than 50 countries.

The couple left the Wales 11 July 1998. Having been in Spain, they decided not to return home and continued on their way. So, for two years they have been in Portugal, Gibraltar, the Canary Islands, Cape Verde and Barbados, reports The Daily Mail . For 2000 Greens visited many islands in the Caribbean: St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Grenada, Trinidad and Tobago, Martinique, Dominica, Guadeloupe, Antigua and Barbuda, and Venezuela. Then another couple visited 17 countries, including the United States and Canada.

In the period from 2002 to 2005 travelers toured the Bahamas, Panama, a number of islands in the Pacific, including the Galapagos and the Marquesas, Tuamotu, Samoa, Tonga, New Zealand, where we stayed for one and a half years, Fiji, Vanuatu and New Caledonia. Over the next six years, Greens visited Australia, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, India, Oman, Yemen, Eritrea, Sudan, Egypt, Cyprus, Turkey, Greece, Bulgaria and Romania.

Out of the journey almost as much as it began: Spain, Portugal and Ireland.August 8, 2014 Greens returned to Wales.

The couple have no children, the newspaper notes, and for the sake of traveling, they had early retirement – Clive worked in one of the utility companies, and Jane – in the hospital. His home in Abergavenny, a town in the south of Wales, Greens rented.

“When we returned, we were pleased to again see our loved ones. Promised We would spend a few months in order to communicate with them,” – said Clive Green. According to him, he and his wife never planned trip around the world, and all happened quite spontaneously. “This was our life the last 16 years”, – said Green.

Soon the couple again planning to take a trip, but this time, Greene promises to restrict Europe.
