Exynos 9810: first details about new chipset for Galaxy S9

Samsung company develops revolutionary technologies: 36 of its developments were awarded with the innovation prize and outstanding design of CES 2018 Innovation Award. In addition to the 8-terabyte SSD, several smartphones, smart watches and a gas stove, there is also unannounced chipset Exynos 9810. It will be used in next flagsip Samsung Galaxy S9.

Exynos 9810: Specifications

Unfortunately, there is not so much information leaked, and company does not hurry to annouce detailed specifications of Exynos 9810..

It is well known that new chipset will not be produced according to the standards of 7-nanometer technological process. As you remember, the company uses 10-nanometer technology of the second generation. In addition, it is reported that SoC will receive custom M3 core, which can only be assumed that they will be faster than the previous ones, and improved GPU.

As the graphics core of ARM Mali-G71 was used in Exynos 8895, new chipset Exynos 9810 is likely to be equipped with Mali-G72. Also it will come with new LTE-modem, which supports connection speed up to 1.2 Gb/s (Cat. 18 6CA).

Other Innovations from Samsung

Among other Samsung products, which received CES 2018 Innovation Award, we should say about 24-megapixel sensor ISOCELL Slim 2X7 with pixels size only 0.9 micrometers.

According to company representatives, such a compact matrix easily fits in the thinnest smartphones, and Tetracell technology compensates for the negative consequences of miniaturization.
