Google will close the service Google+ Photos, beginning August 1

Google announced that it will close the service Google+ Photos, to open the way for new applications Google Photos, which was published in late May. The search giant will start to disconnect the platform from 1 August, first on Android, and then on the iOS and web platform.

Unlike Google+ Photos, separate application Google Photos does not require registration in the social network Google+, which means that all users of Android and iOS will be able to use it.

Google Photos are also a bit more powerful than its predecessor. The app provides free unlimited storage for a 16-megapixel photos and video with a resolution of 1080p. To save the file in the source as a user is 15 GB. Also, the application has the ability to edit and share photos and videos via links and emails.

When installing the application, you get an automatic synchronization with Google Drive and automatic grouping of photos on persons, places, times, and the environment.

If you switch to Google+ Photos on Google Photos, then all the old videos, pictures and albums will remain in the new application.

Google Photos available for iOS and Android, but also it can be accessed through a browser.

Google says that even if you do not install a new application, “your photos and videos will remain safe and will be available through http://photos.google.com or they can be moved using Google Takeout».
