Google is working on a tablet Nexus 8 with MediaTek chipset

We already know about Google plans to release two new smartphone Nexus-5,2- and 5.7-inch displays. But it seems that the family of Nexus can be extended further and tablet Google Nexus 8. At least that is what the name was recently seen in the database benchmark Geekbench 3.

Judging by the benchmark, the “heart” of the tablet acts as an 8-core processor with 1.3 GHz, which we think is a part of the hardware platform MediaTek. And the name of Google Nexus 8 indirectly indicates that the gadget installed an 8-inch touchscreen display.

Tested version of the tablet is running an operating system Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. But it is clear that at the time of its introduction Google Nexus 8 will receive more modern Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

We still do not know who will make the manufacturer Google Nexus 8. But for first and second-generation Google Nexus 7 meet the company Asus, the tablet Nexus 9 developed Taiwanese HTC, Nexus 10 and appeared on the market thanks to the Korean Samsung.
