Huawei Enjoy 8, Enjoy 8e, Enjoy 8 Plus REVIEW: Three New Phones – Price, Release date, Specs

Huawei is one of the biggest Chinese phone manufacturers. It releases both flagship and budget devices. However, if the flagship series P9, P10, P20 and Mate 9, Mate 10 are very predictable, then the details about budget phones are unknown until the official release.

One of the most popular budget series from Huawei is Enjoy. Quite often the smartphone from Enjoy series copies Huawei models that are already on the market. Some days ago we received information about three upcoming phones Huawei Enjoy 8, Enjoy 8E and Enjoy 8 Plus. Let’s talk about them in details.

Hardware

The specifications of these phones are not very attractive. All of them have mid-range chipsets, however they are enough for most everyday tasks, such as surfing Internet, office apps, casual games, etc. However, if you want to play the most poweful games, then you should not buy these phones, because they are equipped with weak graphics chips.

The first 2 models are the simplest ones with Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor. These phones score about 45000 points in AnTuTu benchmark. It is really good result for budget phones. The most powerful version Enjoy 8 Plus is powered by Kirin 659. It has about 75000 points in AnTuTu. This is very high high result for the smartphone from this price category.

All of new smartphones have 4GB of RAM, so they will work very fast and without slowdowns.

Display

Huawei Enjoy 8 Plus has much better display than the first two versions. It has a diagonal of 5.93 inches with a pixel density of 407ppi, and Full HD+ resolution. These specifications allow the user to watch the videos or pictures without any visible pixels.

If we talk about Huawei Enjoy 8 and 8e, they come with HD+ resolution. The picture is not as high-quality, as Enjoy 8 Plus, but this is enough for most users.

Camera

The main camera for smartphones has two sensors. Naturally, it is not the best on the market, but it is still good. You can take very good photos in good lighting conditions. Also, the shots are very detailed with natural colors, correct white balance and excellent HDR performance. Surprisingly,  aperture f/2.2 allows to make good images at night. The photos are clear and not even grainy.

Huawei Enjoy 8 is not new series?

If you look closer at Huawei phones, you may notice that Enjoy 8 series has the same phones as Huawei Y7 Pro 2018, Y7 Prime 2018 and Huawei Nova 2 Lite. All of them have the same design and similar specifications. The processor for these devices is Qualcomm Snapdragon 430. Also they come with 13MP camera f/2.2 aperture, and 3000mAh battery for each model. The only difference between Enjoy 8 and other phones is 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in memory.

As for Enjoy 8 Plus, it is a clone of Huawei Y9 2018, Mate SE, Honor 7X. However, it has a little more changes. Huawei Y9 2018 differs from Enjoy 8 Plus version by only amount of memory. It has 3GB of RAM, instead of 4GB, and 32GB of internal memory, while Enjoy 8 Plus is equipped with 128GB of storage.

If you compare Enjoy 8 Plus and Huawei Mate SE or Honor 7X, you can see that these two smartphones have better main cameras, while the front cameras are worse, than Enjoy 8 Plus.  To be honest, I don’t believe that regular user will notice difference in photo quality between all these phones.

If we talk about design, then it is absolutely the same. All these phones are look similar to each other, and it is almost impossible to find differences between them, except Honor 7X. It has Honor logo on the front panel instead of Huawei. It is the only difference in design.
