OnePlus X – not the flagship, but very beautiful

We have written that OnePlus plans to release another smartphone in 2015. Just last week, the company unveiled budget smartphone OnePlus X.

According to the manufacturer, OnePlus X focus on the design, feelings, comfort and so on.

As usual, I will begin from a short explanation on versions. Company OnePlus always makes some modifications for China, and the new smartphone is no exception.

OnePlus X will run on Android 5.1.1 with H2 OS. In addition, this model supports FDD-LTE: B1 / B3 / B7.

Important moment – the base version of OnePlus X for China is Onyx, and it is equipped with 2 GB of RAM, while the older version of the smartphone Ceramic Edition has 3 GB. The processor Snapdragon 801 is responsible for the performance of the smartphone.

There are also two international versions: the US (North America) and European (EU / India), they differ mainly in the support of different ranges and frequencies. International versions of Onyx and Ceramic equipped with 3 GB of RAM, according to information from the official site.

As I said above, the main feature OnePlus X is a bright design and unusual body materials. Both of the smartphone are made of tempered glass with a volume effect 2.5D.

For China, the smartphone will be available in black and white versions, but for other markets – only in black.

The characteristics OnePlus X remind the first flagship of company – OnePlus One.  The smartphone has a 5-inch display with a resolution 1920×1080 pixel and a matrix AMOLED.

The main camera with a resolution of 13 megapixel and the front camera has an 8 megapixel sensor. Unfortunately, the smartphone is not equipped with a laser focus and optical image stabilization.

A good point is that OnePlus X has a mechanical lever on the left edge with three fixed positions, which is very comfortable. And more importantly it is almost clean Android. Also, the smartphone supports slot for two SIM cards.

Thus, the new OnePlus X is controversial smartphone, as well as the second flagship of the company – OnePlus Two. The smartphone has a good performance of the middle class, comparable to Xiaomi Mi4c.

In addition, the manufacturer reported that the ceramic version of OnePlus X will be released in a limited edition – only 10,000 pieces.

The main drawback is that the smartphone will be sold only on the invite.
