Review Huawei G10 (Maimang 6): price, release date, comparison
Recently, Huawei holds mny presentations of its gadgets. Some days after announce iPhone X, it was released Huawei Mate 10, and then killer of budget smartphones – Honor 7X. More recently, September 22, it was introduced another smartphone Huawei Maimang 6. It is Chinese name, and worldwide it is known as Huawei G10.
So, in this article we want to talk about new smartphone, and make first review Huawei G10. The manufacturer says that it has unusual features, such as two dual cameras and bezel-less display. So, let’s see what else it has unusual.
Huawei G10 design
New smartphone is equipped with 5.9-inch IPS display, which occupies about 82% of the front panel. In fact, this is not the best result for bezel-less phones. The upper and lower frames are quite big. The body of smartphone, according to the manufacturer, is completely made of metal.
Dimensions of the phone are as follows: 156.2×75.2×7.5 mm with a weight of 164 grams. Huawei G10 is equipped with dual front and rear cameras. In addition to the cameras on the front panel, you can see the light sensor and the speaker on the top, and from the bottom is branded inscription “Huawei”.
On the rear panel there is a fingerprint sensor, dual camera and flash. The smartphone will come in two colors: white gold and black.

Performance
New smartphone is powered by 8-core chipset HiSilicon Kirin 659. This processor has already been used on other phones from Huawei – Huawei Nova 2 and Huawei Nova 2 Plus. It scores about 75000 points in AnTuTu, which is an excellent result for mid-ranger. Together with the graphics chip ARM Mali-T830 and 4GB of RAM, Huawei G10 can run most games and applications.
The operating system Android 7.0 Nougat has company’s original shell EMUI 5.1.
The display is one of the main features of Huawei G10. It is 5.9 inch LCD IPS bezel-less display with 16:9 aspect ratio and resolution of 2160×1080 pixels, 373 pixels per inch.
Also we should say about dual camera on rear and front panels: the main photomodule has sensors with resolution of 16MP and 2MP with autofocus, LED flash and support for video recording in HD at 30 fps. The front dual camera comes with resolution of 13MP + 2MP.
The capacity of battery is 3340 mAh.

For comparison with the market, we picked up smartphones with similar display and processor. So, we compare Huawei G10 with Samsung Galaxy A9 2016 and Xiaomi Mi Max 2 64GB.

As we already mentioned, Huawei performance rating is 75000 scores. Snapdragon 652 and Snapdragon 625 have 79000 and 65000 scores respectively. In general, it can be stated that there is not much difference in performance between these smartphones.
Huawei G10 have 0.1 inch smaller screen wins with its resolution (2160×1080 vs 1920×1080). Also out review hero has big advantage with its dual rear camera. 13- and 12- megapixel sensors from Samsung and Xiaomi are able to demonstrate high-quality images.
Nevertheless, Huawei G10 significantly loses in battery capacity (3340 mAh vs 4000 mAh from Samsung and 5300 mAh from Xiaomi).
The price of Huawei G10 is $364, while Samsung Galaxy A9 costs about $347, and Xiaomi Mi Max 2 – $260.
