Russia is concerned about the situation in Venezuela
As announced today, February 17, in the comments of the Information and Press Department of the Russian Federation, Moscow is concerned unrest occurring in Venezuela, and hoped that the country’s leadership taken reasonable measures will ensure the preservation of the rule of law and constitutional law.
“We received with concern reports about the rise in tensions on the streets in Venezuela, which was caused by street clashes took place, which resulted in the loss of human life” – reported on in the information and press department.
Russian Foreign Ministry expresses its “solidarity with the Government and people of this friendly country, strong support for a course that is aimed at preventing the destabilization of the situation.”
“We hope that the efforts made by President Nicolas Maduro, consolidate Venezuelan society, providing unconditional preservation of the rule of law and constitutional law in this country,” – noted in the comments MFA Information and Press of the Russian Federation.
Last week, in different cities of Venezuela marched supporters and opponents of the current president. Clashes and riots across the country, three people died and dozens were injured and detained by police officers. Venezuelan Foreign Ministry called on the United States and some of its citizens to take responsibility for organizing the riots.
