Samsung will release processors for smartphones Huawei

Recently, Samsung has started to decrease the cost of production of chips on 14-nanometer technology FinFET, which made it possible to win the orders from Taiwanese rival TSMC. According to sources Digitimes, now the Korean giant will supply processors for HiSilicon – a subsidiary of Huawei.

You can very likely assume that the next flagship platform family Kirin will be made on 14-nm process. The 16-nm processor Kirin 930 Huawei engineers have done a great job of optimizing energy system and more “thin” technology will achieve even more impressive results. This in turn will affect the autonomy of smartphones.

Because other solutions HiSilicon manufactured at Taiwan partner chipmaker continues to be one of the key customers TSMC. Meanwhile, the decline in the 14-nanometer process technology has helped Samsung to attract large customers such as Apple and Qualcomm.
