Scotland and oil

Scotland and the North Sea, which washes its shores, were another place to look for oil. Two of the largest investment funds of private equity have created their consortia, who are willing to invest $ 1 billion.

The funds will go to finance companies that will engage in the exploration of new oil and gas fields in the region, which until then was not so attractive to mining. Renewed interest in the North Sea occurred after the publication of the Scottish study of N-56, from which it follows that the potential of this store is pretty big. The study involved the famous geologists, and confirmed that the assumption about the huge hydrocarbon reserves in the North Sea. Scientists agreed that the reserves are about 21 billion barrels of oil, and access to them is possible to get, if we use advanced technology production.

But apart from these deposits are difficult and expensive, and there is already open, but so far undeveloped. Their number is 206, and the total reserves are equal to $ 100 billion.
