In early February, online retailer Best Buy accidentally (or not) has a description of the updated smartphone Moto E with network support LTE, with more memory and even lower price.
Page description smartphone almost immediately disappeared, but soon after Motorola announced the upcoming announcement of a new device.
As expected, the company introduced an updated budget smartphone Moto E next generation. The new model, the volume of flash memory is 8 GB (predecessor – 4 GB of memory), there is a slot for memory cards microSD. Also reported a 64-bit quad-core Snapdragon processor 410 with 1.2 GHz and 1 GB of RAM. 3G-version of the smartphone based on Snapdragon 200 with Adreno 302 graphics system.
New also received larger IPS LCD screen with a diagonal of 4.5 inches instead of 4.3 inches in the previous model. However, the screen resolution remains the same – 960 × 540 pixels (qHD). The screen is protected from scratches durable glass Gorilla Glass 3 and has a dirt-repellent coating.
The smartphone runs on the following networks:
- GSM / GPRS / EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz);
- UMTS / HSPA + (850, 1700 (AWS), 1900 MHz);
- 4G LTE (lanes 2, 4, 5, 7, 12, 17).
Rear 5-megapixel camera smartphone with an aperture f / 2,2 supports video recording with a resolution of 720p. There is also a frontal VGA-camera.
With the exception of small improvements, design of the device remains the same, body color – white and black. The weight and size are almost the same as its predecessor.
Updated Motorola Moto E (2015) has a water-repellent coating and a more powerful battery capacity of 2390 mAh. The smartphone will come with pre-installed Android 5.0 Lollipop. While the current version of Moto E costs $ 120, the new model will cost a bit more expensive – its price is $ 149.
