Ulefone S11 First REVIEW: I Can’t Believe This Phone From 2019!

Ulefone S11 will be released in coming days. Yesterday, Ulefone published a video on YouTube channel, which shows specifications, design and main features of new smartphone.

Not so long ago, Ulefone introduced Ulefone Power 3L with a very low price and a large 6350mAh battery. Ulefone S11 has the same price tag – about $100, but it has nothing interesting. Moreover, looking at specifications, we cannot believe this phone from 2019.

Let’s start our first review of Ulefone S11, and find out why you shouldn’t buy this smartphone.

Ulefone S11: Design

The video says that Ulefone S11 will have a large 6.1-inch display with HD resolution, 600 x 1280 pixels. To be honest, this is a fairly low display resolution for 2019. The screen to body ratio is 19:9.

As usual, the front camera is located on the top of display. There is a small waterdrop notch, which looks much better than big notch. Next to the front camera is an earpiece.

Ulefone S11 has a pretty big bottom “chin”. Also, the bezels on sides are thicker than most mobile devices in 2019.

The dimensions of Ulefone S11 are 156.1 x 73.7 x 9.5 mm. The smartphone is quite large, so it is very comfortable to use with one hand. The device is available in three color options: black, blue and twilight.

Let’s look at rear panel. The video shows us the smartphone in a twilight color. The back cover is made of glossy plastic. However, if you believe the official images, then back panel will be matte.

In the center of rear panel is a triple camera and LED flash. It seems that the Chinese manufacturer copied the design of HUAWEI Mate 20 Pro.

Also, there is a speaker grille on the back. Yes, the smartphone case is made of plastic, but frame is metal.

Unfortunately, Ulefone S11 didn’t have a fingerprint sensor, but the user can unlock the smartphone using Face ID scanner.

There is 3.5 mm headphone jack at the top. We do not know why so many people still need audio connector, because we have been using wireless Bluetooth headphones for a long time. They are cheaper and more comfortable than wired headphones.

Ulefone S11: Specifications

The new smartphone is powered by MediaTek MT6580 chipset. This is bad news! The processor was released in 2015, and it shows very weak results in benchmarks. If even in 2015 the processor was entry level, then what can we talk about in 2019? We do not understand why to use a weak processor from 2015 in a smartphone of 2019.

Ulefone S11 is equipped with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. It is a very strange decision again.

On the other hand, the smartphone runs on the latest version of operating system – Android 9.0 Pie. Fortunately, here you will not find a lot of Chinese advertising, such as, for example, on Xiaomi smartphones.

Multitasking and user interface speed is pretty good.

As we said, the triple camera is located on the rear panel: the main module is 12MP, the second – 5MP and the third sensor is also 5MP. The camera is optimized using ArcSoft algorithm.

The front camera received 8MP sensor. It seems that a good selfie on Ulefone S11 can not be done.

Ulefone S11 doesn’t have a large battery like Ulefone Power 3L. The new smartphone has a standard battery capacity of 3500mAh. The mobile device supports NFC and Google Pay. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi support are also available.

Ulefone S11: Price

The Chinese company has not yet announced the release date and price of Ulefone S11. We believe that the price will not exceed $100. But even 100 dollars is a high price for this smartphone.

Ulefone S11 received a large screen with a low resolution of 600 x 1280 pixels, outdated MediaTek MT6580 processor, 1GB of RAM and 3500mAh battery. If Ulefone S11 will cost $70-80, then you can consider this smartphone as an option for purchase. If it will be more expensive – we do not recommend buying it.
