You can already draw the concussions reading the specifications above. Xiaomi Mi A3 will be really interesting smartphone. It has much better features than Xiaomi Mi A2, such as triple camera, the latest Android 9.0 Pie version, new chipset, Super AMOLED display, etc.
Design
As you know, Xiaomi Mi A1 and Mi A2 were not the most beautiful smartphones. Let’s be honest, the Chinese manufacturer didn’t work hard on design of Mi A1 and Mi A2 smartphones.
It seems that Xiaomi understood the main problem, and Mi A3 will receive completely new design. There are already rumors about Xiaomi Mi A3 with hole-punch display. There will be 32MP front-facing camera in the hole on the front panel. The leaks say about 95% screen to body ratio.
Also, there is information about built-in display fingerprint reader. On the back of the third generation will be a triple camera. It will be located in the central part, not in the corner. The smartphone case material is unknown. Most likely, Xiaomi will give preference to metal.
This design seems original. It will definitely attract attention of buyers. The most important thing – there will not be a big notch above the display.
Display
The screen of Xiaomi Mi A3 will be amazing: 6.3-inch diagonal, Full HD+ resolution, pixel density of 420ppi, Super AMOLED panel, Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Xiaomi will not lose, giving the smartphone flagship panel, high-quality protective glass and almost zero bezels.
Performance
The upcoming smartphone will be powered by Snapdragon 675. The new chipset contains eight Kryo 460 cores with a clock speed of up to 2.0 GHz, Adreno 612 graphics accelerator and Qualcomm AI Engine. The chip was announced in the autumn of 2018, so it new.
The American chipmaker is positioning it as “a gaming processor for mid-range smartphones.” The tests confirm this: if you compare Snapdragon 670 and Snapdragon 675, the latter promises up to 30% increase in gaming performance.
Also, the new processor supports fast charging Quick Charge 4+, Wi-Fi 802.11ac Wave 2, Bluetooth 5.0 and NFC. By the way, it is possible that Xiaomi Mi A3 will be the first smartphone from Xiaomi with contactless payment technology.
Xiaomi Mi A3 will have 4/6/8 GB of RAM, and 64 or 128GB of internal memory. The smartphone will score about 200.000 points in the AnTuTu synthetic test.
Camera
As we already said, a triple main camera will be on the back of Xiaomi Mi A3. The rear camera will consist of 20MP, 16MP and 5MP sensors. As you understand, 20MP will be the main sensor for taking photos, 16MP sensor – for wide angle and 5MP sensor – for bokeh effect. On paper, this combination looks amazing!
However, we should wait for release of smartphone, and only then make a conclusion about photos quality.
Battery
The upcoming smartphone will provide long battery life, thanks to 4000mAh battery. The user will have two days of battery life on a single charge. Also, Xiaomi Mi A3 will have USB Type-C port, so it will support fast charging technology.
Xiaomi Mi A3: Price and release date
Right now, we haven’t confirmed information about price and release date of Xiaomi Mi A3. However, the rumors say the following: Xiaomi Mi A3 will go on sale in the first quarter of 2019. The price of smartphone will be about $300.
