Xiaomi AC2100 First REVIEW: 2019 Powerful Gaming Router
A few days ago, Xiaomi introduced its first gaming router for demanding users. It is called Xiaomi AC2100.

Xiaomi AC2100: Design
The new Xiaomi router does not look like other routers of a popular Chinese manufacturer. Xiaomi AC2100 has a completely new design. The body has a rounded shape without antennas.
Xiaomi AC2100 looks more similar to a wireless Bluetooth speaker, not router.
The dimensions of Xiaomi AC2100 are 12 x 12 x 20 cm. The weight is 600 grams. It is available only in matte black color.
There are two LED strips on the front of the router. They are highlighted in different colors, and notify the user about connection.
On the rear panel, there are various connectors and ports, such as four WAN/LAN, power connector and reset button.
There are LED lights next to each of WAN/LAN connectors. They reporting about working connections.
Xiaomi AC2100: Specifications
The new Xiaomi router has dual-core MediaTek MT7621A processor with a clock frequency of 880 MHz. It also has 128 MB of internal memory.
There is support of dual band Wi-Fi: 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. By the way, 2.4 GHz band has become wider, and now it covers about 100 meters.
The speed of a simultaneous dual-band wireless connection reaches 2033 Mbps. The router also supports IPV6 connection protocol.
5 GHz band supports Wave2 4 x 4MU-MIMO technology, which allows you to simultaneously connect to multiple smartphones, transmitting data across multiple channels.
Xiaomi’s new gaming router also supports Beamforming technology, which automatically determines the location of smartphones, computers and other devices on Wi-Fi network. This improves the wireless signal.
According to Xiaomi, the new AC 2100 router is able to cover the entire area of a large two-story house.
This router, like previous Xiaomi devices, works through the Mi Wi-Fi application. Using the app on smartphone, you can configure the router, and establish connection methods for each of devices connected to it.
The router is equipped with a built-in signal amplifier, which provides wider coverage and high transmission speed.
By the way, Xiaomi AC2100 has built-in radiator, so high temperature and overheating are not scary for this router.
Xiaomi AC2100: Price and buy
Xiaomi AC2100 is already sold in Chinese online stores. Its official price is $35. However, we could not find it cheaper than $53. Below we will leave links where you can buy Xiaomi AC2100.
Although we don’t understand why it is called a gaming router, we are sure that it can provide a stable and fast wired and wireless Internet connection in your home, even if you use a large number of devices.
