At the beginning of August 2019, rumors said that Xiaomi was preparing another gaming device. Now we know that it will be a curved gaming monitor with 34-inch diagonal. The name of the new monitor is not known yet.
According to the latest information provided by Chinese local media, Xiaomi signed an agreement with the Chinese online store Tmall for the exclusive sale of its first gaming monitor. It will go on sale at the end of September. It is expected that September 28 will be the first day of sale of the curved Xiaomi gaming monitor.
Xiaomi Gaming Curved Monitor: Specifications
So far, there is little information about technical specifications of the new game monitor. However, we already know that it will be a curved screen with a resolution of QHD+, 3200 × 1800 pixels and 21:9 aspect ratio. The monitor will have a refresh rate of 144 Hz.
We also learned that the Chinese company Xiaomi will cooperate with Samsung on a mutually beneficial contract. The essence of the contract is that Xiaomi will buy from Samsung a large number of displays for their smartphones, while Samsung in turn will sell Xiaomi their 34-inch panels at a great discount.
This deal will help Xiaomi significantly reduce the price of its new gaming monitor, and make it more affordable to consumers. At the moment there is information that Xiaomi plans to buy about 100,000 panels.
I think this is a great idea! Thanks to this deal, all parties to the contract will win – Samsung, Xiaomi and even buyers. Both companies will receive income for selling their products and components, and we will be able to buy a large curved monitor at affordable price.
Apparently, Xiaomi decided to produce not only smart devices for home, but also interesting and inexpensive products for gamers. Xiaomi already has some gaming gadgets, such as laptops, smartphones, keyboards and other accessories.
